Full Description

Each handle is meticulously crafted from locally sourced, fine grain cherry wood and shaped by hand to our exact specifications. We apply multiple layers of Urushi lacquer, including raw urushi to seal the wood and black urushi for a rich, deep finish. After each layer, the handles are cured for at least 24 hours and sanded to a smooth, polished finish. The final layer of transparent urushi is added and the handle is polished to perfection with natural polishing powder.

The brush head measures 5cm in diameter and the handle measures 3cm in diameter and 10cm in height. The brush comes wrapped in red linen and protected by a handmade hinoki wood box.

Our shaving brush is a nod to the traditional Japanese Urushi art, interpreted with a modern focus on design and functionality. The visible grain of the cherry wood adds a unique touch to each handle, showcasing the care and attention to detail put into each piece. Experience the ultimate shaving luxury with our handmade Urushi shaving brush. Contact us with any questions you may have.
