All Paulownia wood boxes were made by hand in Japan. We engrave Japanese Designsof your choice derived from old Ukiyo-E woodblock prints. Please take a look into the available designs.
A great box to store your Kamisori. please click on the designs to see see the different pictures. Most Engravings are around 5.5cm x 8cm and cover just around the lower part of the box, some do cover the whole box.
If you would like to have other engravings, please talk to us. Other designs are possible and also personalization if this should become a gift. Each box looks differently due to different growth of the trees, some engravings might look slightly darker or lighter.

Paulownia is a light wood that is growing in Japan. The boxes are basically airtight and prevent moisture from getting inside . Paulownia wood is also pest and moisture resistant.
