Yamada Denzaburo 傳三郎

State of evidence
Brand and mark documented, biography unknown
Yamamasa 山正 is the brand of Yamada Denzaburo. The mark is easy to recognise: two mountains 山山 above the character 正. On many blades the 正 is partly ground away by generations of sharpening.

Yamamasa blades often carry the guarantee word 請合 and grade marks such as 上 and 頂. On some pieces 登録 is written from right to left, as 録登.

Life dates and the place of the workshop are not documented in any source we have found.
