We begin by selecting only the finest cherry wood for our handles, hand-shaped to our exact specifications by our partner, a skilled artisan woodworker. Each handle is then carefully layered with several layers of Raw Urushi Lacquer, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish.

To complement our exquisite handles, we've sourced the best knots available made from high-class Manchurian Badger. Our urushi lacquer handles and badger bristle knots are carefully hand-set, creating a stunning and unique shaving brush that is sure to elevate your grooming routine.

Measuring around 11cm in height with a brush head diameter of 5cm and handle diameter of 3cm, this brushes come wrapped in up-cycled Japanese silk Kimono fabric in an engraved Japanese made Paulownia Box.

Conception de la boîte

Engraved on the lid is an Ukiyo-e woodblock print of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi`s "Suffering from pain courtesan of the period" out of the series "32 feminine faces of everyday life" from 1888. The print shows an Geisha with the highest of ranks "Oiran" getting a tattoo. It was common that Geishas got the names of their highest valued customers as a secret tattoo.

Guide d'entretien

・Soaking the bristles is not necessary as these are synthetic fibers.
・Rinse bristles to remove all remaining soap from the Bristles,
・best to hang your brush handle upwards, so remaining water can flow out of the brush or dry it as good as possible with a soft towel, after softly pressing out remaining water.
